As an MS Excel™ add-on, our iData
Analyzer software tool has been used in a
diverse set of industries from healthcare
and medical informatics to finance and
telecommunications. Specific applications
include: business intelligence, database
cleansing, data warehouse development
prototyping, domain and attribute
correlation, manufacturing failure
analysis, and stock price prediction.
With the power of a neural network
building tool coupled with our proprietary
data mining technology, we invite you to
explore how iData Analyzer can help you.
Finally, a business intelligence tool that
can be easily used by anyone with a PC and
MS Excel. As an Excel add-on, iData
Analyzer employs
"state-of-the-art" artificial
intelligence technology to unveil hidden
knowledge from any spreadsheet of source
data.
DISCOVER HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE
Find trends and patterns that may exist in
your data using iData Analyzer. Once
installed, simply mouse-clicking a single
menu item from the Excel menu bar launches
the iData Analyzer data mining engine.
Results are deposited to a summary sheet
and the user is prompted to generate
understandable, "human readable"
business rules.
The summary sheet contains overall
characteristics of the source data grouped
into "classes". Each class
identifies records called
"instances" that are similar. By
examining the "most typical"
instance found in each class, the user is
able to get a good feel for the overall
class makeup (e.g., what do these
instances have in common?).
BUSINESS RULES
Business rules take the form:
If income-range = 40-50,000 Then
Credit Score = High
The primary value of these business rules
lies in their ability to summarize results
in a "human readable" format for
layman users as well as data mining
experts.
Installation of iData Analyzer is made
easy by invoking a simple Setup routine.
iData Analyzer is sold as "trialware"
where every user is given the opportunity
to try the software prior to making a
purchase decision.
iData Analyzer is a single button
operation based on MS Excel’s familiar
graphical user interface.
Special Features:
1) Help Create Target Data Sets.
iData Analyzer can help to determine the
best attributes for inclusion in your data
warehouse. Whether your planning to launch
a data warehouse initiative or simply want
to gauge the effectiveness of your
existing data warehouse, iData Analyzer
has proven to be an effective software
tool.
2) Supports supervised as well as
unsupervised learning.
3) Offer Insight in Interpreting and
Determining the Practical Value of
Discovered Knowledge.
Uses a data structure that allows domain
instances to be retained once they are
processed. Because of this, valuable
knowledge contained within the instances
is not lost once data mining is complete.
4) Find Irregularities in Data.
Can be used for data cleansing by pointing
out inconsistencies and unusual data
values that may be present in the data.
5) In supervised classification, iData
Analyzer can be used to determine
instances and attributes best able to
classify new instances of unknown origin.
6) During unsupervised classification,
iData Analyzer uses a globally optimizing
evaluation function that discourages the
formation of concepts of less than optimal
quality.
7) Perform Data Mining.
Can classify in domains containing both
categorical and numerical data.
8) Able to explain its behavior.
9) Statistical assumptions about the
nature of the data to be processed are
unnecessary.
8) iData Analyzer may be used to:
o create target data sets for model
building,
o find irregularities in data,
o perform data mining, and
o offer insight in interpreting and
determining the practical value of
discovered knowledge.
